Education Agency Prepares 23 Schools in South Jakarta for Isolation Facilities

The Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) prepares 23 school buildings in South Jakarta as a supporting facility for handling COVID-19. It is in accordance with City Secretary number 29/2020 on Accommodation and Provision of Support for Health Workers Involved in COVID-19 Handling.

Of 23 schools, 19 out of them will be used as a place of isolation for COVID-19 patients and 4 other schools are for the accommodation of medical workers.

There are also SMAN 3 Jakarta, SMPN 58 Jakarta, SDN Setiabudi 01, SDN Duren Tiga 07, SLB Negeri 11, SMPN 104 Jakarta, SDN Bangka 05 and SDN Kramat Pela 01.
While the four schools prepared for medical workers are SMKN 57 and SMKN 37 Pasar Minggu, SMKN 30 Kebayoran Baru and SMKN 32 Tebet.
"They have adequate facilities as accommodation," she explained.
Her staffs in the sub-agency continue to work closely with local urban villages to tighten access to such schools.
"They must be clean from the crowd. Hopefully local officials give understanding to citizens not to pass carelessly," she said.
